Toddling

Alma is a toddler! It kind of snuck up on us. She's been taking steps since before she turned one, but, one day a few weeks back, we realized she wasn't crawling much anymore -- her default became the "drunken sailor" walk which you see here. She's getting more steady, and even been practicing her jumps.

Living with a toddler is different. She gets into more things, of course, opening kitchen cabinets and pulling things off shelves. But it's pretty amazing to have this little human being walking around, exploring on her own two feet. She can even get off the bed by herself in the morning.

I took this video at Wildcare, a rescued animal sanctuary near where we live. She enjoyed the cormorants. The bird you hear in the background is a raven.
