Mobility Update

Alma is getting dangerously close to crawling. She is fearless, launching her little body from every surface with little or no warning. She can get around pretty well with a series of flops, rolls, "downward dogs" and scoots (backwards). She is also pulling herself up to standing on anything that will hold her weight. Her determination is humbling. She even wakes up in the middle of the night and starts trying to crawl. I have been trying to take videos of her efforts but they end up being too long and not enough action. I still can't believe how fast she is growing. I've said it before, but it feels like she is trying to speed through her infancy. Maybe the whole being a baby thing isn't for her. She's got bigger mountains to scale. But for now, she's stuck on all fours. I'll keep you posted.

is she rocking? Miles would rock back and forth on all fours for a month or so before he started crawling. The first thing he crawled to was my cellphone, the second thing was catfood.

Yes, she rocks. Literally. Good to know that we might have a month before she starts really moving.

Hi Hannah,
I'm enjoying your blog of Alma.
Looking forward to maybe seeing you on Saturday if the 3 of you are up for it.
